Welcome back! I truly hope each of your families made wonderful memories this summer! I hope it left you rejuvenated and excited for the year ahead. I love the anticipation of a new school year as we prepare to open our gates to our staff, students and families. It is always a time of optimism and excitement as it marks a new beginning!
A big welcome to our new families! Whether you are just joining us as a new kindergarten family or you recently relocated, I can confidently say you have landed in a wonderful place for children! We truly have the most remarkable staff ready to welcome, support and encourage your child to achieve their best. To our returning families, we missed you this summer and are so glad you are back with us!
We believe in excellence and high expectations for all. EUSD is committed to igniting the limitless potential of all learners. With our Strategic Plan as inspiration and guidance, we are confident and proud of where we are headed. Our plan has been directing our work and increasing our districtwide collaboration ensuring the most dynamic, learning experiences possible for children. Every site is working diligently to ensure we support ALL children in thriving academically, socially and emotionally.
We pride ourselves on high levels of engagement and that starts with our commitment to regular ongoing communication with our community. To this end, you can expect a district update from our team every other Friday. These updates include relevant district information, site highlights, upcoming events and links to important topics such as district events and board meeting agendas. Additionally, please follow us on Instagram where we regularly share stories of the great work happening for children in EUSD!
As I start my seventh year as superintendent and tenth in the district, I love knowing so many of our families and students. I enjoy getting to know the stories and individuals that make up this incredible district community. I am at our schools daily and invite you to introduce yourself or share questions or concerns with me. I am always interested in your personal experiences and your feedback. Your ongoing partnership is truly appreciated.
I love EUSD and I look forward to starting the year with the very best team of educators here to support our students. There is a lot to be proud of in EUSD and we are focused on making this year the very best it can be.
