You may have received, or may soon receive, a communication from PowerSchool regarding its nationwide data breach on December 28, 2024. We want to confirm that this message is legitimate and is the official notification from PowerSchool to individuals who have been affected.
The email will come from: PowerSchool Ps-sis-incident@mail1.csid.com.Please check your spam or junk folder in case it was filtered there.
As previously shared in our January 9, 2025 courtesy communication, PowerSchool experienced a data breach that impacted districts and schools across the world. As part of their response, PowerSchool is offering free credit monitoring through Experian to those impacted. If you would like to take advantage of this service, you must enroll by July 31, 2025.
Whether or not you receive PowerSchool’s email, you may visit the PowerSchool website to learn how to activate the offering from Experian and get more information about the breach.
PowerSchool has also set up a dedicated, toll-free call center to answer questions related to the breach and available support: 833-918-9464.
