EUSD UPDATES

Dear EUSD Community,

I recently had a chance to attend several Open Houses at our schools. As I walked classroom to classroom, I was overwhelmed with pride as I watched students actively sharing their learning and projects with caregivers and families. There is such a sense of confidence and pride that comes with acknowledging your work and having an audience there to listen, especially when it is the people that mean the most to you. I am so appreciative of the attendance we see at these events. Time and time again, EUSD families demonstrate their unwavering commitment to their children and our schools. We appreciate your partnership!

As we conclude Staff Appreciation Week, I wanted to publicly share my immense gratitude and pride for the dedicated EUSD employees who contribute tirelessly to support our students and our schools. From teachers who inspire and educate our students to support staff who keep our schools running smoothly, each member of our team plays a crucial role in shaping our community. Their dedication, creativity, and compassion make a difference for each one of our EUSD students. Consistently when I talk with families and members of the community and ask what they love about our district, I hear “the staff.” I cannot agree more as our EUSD team is truly second to none.

Warmly,

Andrée Grey, Ed.D.

Superintendent

EUSD BRIGHT SPOTS!

Two of Paul Ecke Central’s students, Anja Swanson and Rory Gillespie, started a school newspaper.  With the help of PEC’s TRAC teacher, Linny Marquez, they built the concept from the floor up.  They have been interviewing students about what matters to them and sharing upcoming events at PEC.  They were recently recognized as Empowered Learners and Skilled Communicators at a school-wide Spirit Assembly.
