EUSD UPDATES

Dear EUSD Staff and Families,

I have loved being on campuses the last three weeks to present Superintendent Chats for both families and staff members. It provides me an opportunity to share district updates and answer questions. This most recent Superintendent Chat provided a brief overview of our major plans included in our Strategic Plan and an overview of our Facilities Plan, along with general information about school bonds.

Both our Framework for the Future & Strategic Plan and the Facilities Plan will support our efforts to continuously improve the school experience for all children. Our schools are amazing places for learning and we aim to continue to be innovative and forward thinking to ensure we ignite the limitless potential of all learners.

If you were unable attend, I have included a video version of the Superintendent Chat, a copy of the slides, and links to both our Facilities Plans and our Strategic Plan.

Thank you for continuing to support our efforts to elevate our work in EUSD!

Warmly,

Andrée Grey, Ed.D.

EUSD BRIGHT SPOTS!
EUSD values Joy, Belonging, Integrity, Service and Innovation

Park Dale Lane recently held the final installment of our Beyond Awareness assembly series, a three-part event designed to inspire and educate our students on the power of perseverance and diversity. This last session was truly exceptional, featuring a diverse lineup of speakers: Paralympic athletes, a player from the San Diego Ducks Sled Hockey team originally from Russia, an inspiring author, and a remarkable athlete from the Challenged Athletes Foundation who was the first double-above knee amputee to complete an Ironman!

The assembly captivated students as they engaged in active listening, absorbing incredible stories of overcoming physical challenges. Each speaker shared personal experiences of determination and resilience, illustrating that no obstacle is insurmountable with the right mindset and effort.

Participation in these activities is crucial for students, as it broadens their understanding of diverse abilities and fosters empathy and inclusivity. Learning about the real-life achievements of individuals who have triumphed over adversity encourages students to approach their own challenges with a positive and resilient attitude. This assembly series not only enriches our students' knowledge but also inspires them to strive for their personal best, regardless of the hurdles they may face. A Special thank you goes out to 5th grade teacher, Lauren Provenzano for bringing this incredible series to life at Park Dale Lane.
